Wet Reverb Pedal v2a User Guide
Thank you for purchasing the Wet™ Reverb Pedal. To reduce waste and provide you with the most up-to-date information, we do not include paper manuals with our products.
Controls and Input/Output
Power Jack
The power jack accepts a 9V DC center-negative input and works with standard power supplies like a Boss replacement adapter or 1 Spot. Plugging into the power jack disconnects the battery.
Input Jack
The mono input jack accepts input directly from your instrument or amplifier effects loop output. Unplugging the input jack when not in use will extend the battery life.
Output Jack
The mono output jack provides output to another effects pedal, amplifier input, or effects loop input. This low-impedance output is capable of driving long cables without a change in tone.
Mix Knob
The mix knob controls the reverb level. Full counter-clockwise is dry (no reverb). Full clockwise is 100% reverb signal for parallel effects loops.
Depth Knob
The depth knob controls the decay time (length of reverb tail).
LED
The LED lights when the effect is active. If the LED fails to illuminate, please check your battery or power supply.
Foot Switch
The foot switch is true bypass. Bypassing works even with a dead battery or no power applied.
Battery
The battery compartment accepts a 9V (PP3) battery. The Wet Reverb will work with any 9V battery, although battery life will depend on the type of battery.
Battery Compartment
To access the battery compartment, use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the 4 screws that attach the bottom cover. Use care when opening the bottom of the pedal: do not touch the circuit board, as electro-static discharge can kill your pedal.
When replacing the battery, do not pull on the wires that attaches the battery snap to the circuit board. The battery fits best in an upside-down position, with the battery snap wires leading from the battery toward the inside of the pedal.
Rechargeable Option
Note: the rechargeable option is no longer available on new pedals.
The label on the bottom of the pedal will indicate if your pedal has the rechargeable option installed.
To charge the pedal, connect a standard 9V DC center-negative power supply to the power jack and insert a 1/4" plug into the input jack. Any cable with a mono 1/4" plug will do. Remember, the battery is completely disconnected from the circuit when the input plug is removed. This prevents the battery from discharging when not in use but also prevents the battery from charging.
While the pedal is charging, the LED will glow faintly with the pedal footswitch in the bypass position. The pedal may be used while charging. You may leave power connected to the pedal indefinitely, as the intelligent charging circuit will not overcharge the battery.
Initially, the battery may require a few charge/discharge cycles to reach full capacity. There is no need to fully discharge the battery, as Li-poly batteries do not suffer from a memory effect.
The pedal will stop working abruptly and without warning when the battery is depleted as a result of the battery's internal protection circuit activating, which protects the battery from over-discharge. We recommend that you charge the battery after each use or at regular intervals, since there is no battery charge gauge.
Only charge your pedal at room temperature. If your pedal has been stored in a hot or cold environment, wait for its temperature to equalize to room temperature before charging the battery.
Do not replace the battery. Once the rechargeable option is installed, you must not use alkaline or any battery other than the type installed.
If the LED flashes while charging, the pedal should be returned to the factory for service.
